FAQ
Do you handle emergency situations?
No, I am not equipped for that.
If you have an emergency, call Burlington Emergency Veterinary Services at (802) 863-2387.
Do you take insurance?
I do not take pet insurances and do not do any kind of insurance paperwork, but I do provide receipts for my service(s) that can be submitted for reimbursement.
How do you take payment?
Cash, check, and credit cards are accepted.
Is the Covetrus site safe to order from?
Yes. The site is fully secure (https).
How far do you travel?
My service area is the entirety of Franklin County, Vermont plus some towns in Grand Isle County, Orleans County, Lamoille County, and Chittenden County.
What are your hours?
My hours are typically 9am-5pm, Monday through Friday, with exceptions made for at-home euthanasia events.
Why should I use a mobile vet?
Treatment for routine and end-of-life care in your home is very sanitary and normal, and many times preferred by both the pet and the owner. Animals are more comfortable in their own homes than in the vet’s office. Consider mobile veterinarian services if:
You are a pet owner who has difficulty getting around
You are a pet owner without transportation
You are a pet owner who doesn’t live near a veterinarian
Your pet gets nervous and agitated at the vet’s office
Current COVID-19 protocols upset you, your pet, or both of you
Do you only work with cats and dogs?
Yes, the only pets I see for mobile vet services are cats and dogs.
Can you recommend an animal hospital in Franklin County?
For a brick and mortar veterinary hospital, I recommend Tanneberger Veterinary Hospital in St. Albans.
